<reviewbody>Cool to hear Thomas Edison's voice, nearly 100 years ago. Amazing how far technology and Electricity have come since this was recording. Great treasure from the past.</reviewbody>

<reviewbody>I was a poor kid in the mountains of WV. I had an
Edison wind-up cylinder type Victrola. I received much enjoynment from it. Through his genius, I can listen to his voice today. This is amazing,
considering that this recording was probably made
mechanically. Sound power alone -- no amplifiers
yet. Edison was the greatest inventor ever

<reviewbody>It seems quite eerie to hear Thomas A. Edison here talking about his invention, the light bulb (well, ok electricity in general) and listen to him talking about the successes and failures before then and since then. What I find interesting, is that, if I'm not mistaken, Edison was a bit of a megalmaniac and wanted credit for everything, but here he talks about the inventors warmly. As for the future, it's quite interesting to hear Edison comment about his doubts on whether electricity would be something that would stick around. This sounds like it was used as an exhibition of some sort, as several times he points out some things to look at. Record condition is ok, some annoying thumping...</reviewbody>
